Is this pricing calculator free?
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser, there is no account required, and nothing is stored unless you choose to email yourself the breakdown.
How does it work out the quote?
It prices your time across shoot, edit and admin hours at the rate you want to earn, adds a percentage for business overheads, adds any direct costs for the job, then applies your profit margin. The result is rounded up and shown with an effective hourly rate.
What should I set overheads to?
Most solo creative businesses land between 20 and 35 percent once gear, insurance, software, storage and workspace are counted honestly. If you have never calculated yours, 25 percent is a sane starting point.
Does the quote include tax?
No. The suggested quote excludes GST, VAT or sales tax. Add whatever applies in your region on top.
